Excelsior Chamonix Hôtel & Spa

Very friendly and helpful staff that provided a nice welcome. The location is good, it is not in the centre of Chamonix but the quiet village of Les Tines. It is only 5 minutes walk to the station where you can take a train into Chamonix and it's about 5 minutes. The hotel provides a card when you check in that makes this free to use. I preferred the peaceful location of the village and there are good views to the mountains of the valley. The food in the restaurant is good. It is a beautiful location with so much to do in the local area. I enjoyed it a lot.

This hotel was the highlight of our holiday. The staff were friendly and super-helpful; we extended our stay at the hotel and they managed to allow us to keep the same room which had an amazing view of the mountains and forests.  The room was quiet during the night with great insulation on the door and window. The outside pool was really nice. The views from there were just amazing, being able to see Mont Blanc and the surrounding mountains, while swimming or relaxing on the lounge chairs. The location in Les Tines was about 5 minutes on the train from Chamonix or 20 minutes on the bus; there was a lot of information available on timetables, activities and maps and also helpful advice from the people working there. Highly recommended and will hopefully stay there again in the future, should we return to Chamonix.

The room was comfortable and very clean and overlooked the terrace and the pool. The view from the terrace was stunning and the pool was gorgeous. The breakfast was generous and the evening meal on our second night on the terrace was delicious. The hotel is in a quiet area and only a 5 minute walk to the train station which will take you into central Chamonix in 7 minutes. The hotel provide tickets which makes the journey free of charge so it's almost better than being in the centre of Chamonix as it's beautifully quiet with stunning views.

Location was excellent, good food helpful staff. Very convenient free (with hotel issued pass) rail link up and down the valley. Could walk from the hotel straight onto the mountain paths.

We booked the Mont Blanc view room and it was fantastic - comfortable and spacious. The staff were very attentive and helpful right throughout our visit. The bar was very nice, and the location was very good if you want to be a little bit out of central Chamonix-Mont Blanc (which we did). There were regular trains from 7.15am to early evening, just a short walk away.
